Roppon-me

When shidachi’s gedan meets uchidachi’s chudan great pressure is exerted on both sides –shidachi brings pressure upwards as they lift into chudan. Uchidachi seeks to negate that pressure by exerting his own pressure downwards. It is a similar feeling to the initial clash in yonhon-me.
Ultimately, shidachi’s seme is too powerful for uchidachi to control and he takes a sharp step back and raises his bokuto to hidari-jodan. Shidachi, in a position of strength, immediately follows this motion with a step forward and tilts his tip toward uchidachi’s left wrist to guard against a strike from jodan position. Seeing the result of his hasty decision, uchidachi lowers his bokuto back to chudan and with very little pause, attempts small motion cut to shidachi’s right wrist.
Combining elements of nihon-me  and gohon-me, shidachi tilts his ha to the right this time to deflect uchidachi’s strike. In the same, sharp and quick motion, he takes a step forward and to the left and strikes at uchidachi’s right wrist in a small motion. This counter strike should be very small and quick. The bokuto is not tilted to the same extreme angle as in gohon-me. The slight angle and a quick flick of the wrist are all that are necessary to deflect uchidachi's strike from shidachi's wrist.
Then, capitalizing on the confusion brought on by the quick succession of strikes that end in shidachi's favor, he takes a half step forward with the left leg and raises his bokuto into hidari-jodan, while exerting pressure to solidify his victory.
