Kyoto Women's Open Practice

The Kyoto Women's Open Practice is a once a month, two hour long instruction and keiko for girls and women from high school and up. Instructed by many knowledgeable and considerate teachers of both genders, the practice is intended for female practitioners to gather and perform under a similar heart. Conveniently located at the Kyoto Butokuden on the grounds of Heian Jingu shrine, the beautiful, old style setting and the structured, drill heavy instruction give impressions of kendo traditions from long ago.
